Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. She was raised by her mom in the USA she was subject to many racial slurs which gave her feeling of being unwanted. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen when she entered a school audition. She was praised for her performance. This not only increased her confidence, but it altered the direction in which she went on to pursue her career. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She began her career when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot winning not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC, she gained greater fame. Also, she is a well-known artist and published an extended version of her play. In addition, she has been a vocal advocate for LGBT concerns.
